Supervision Online & In-Person

I offer clinical supervision for counsellors and psychotherapists in private practice, as well as for client-facing support staff at charities, universities, and other organisations.

As well as being a BACP-registered counsellor, psychotherapist, I am a qualified clinical supervisor with an Advanced Certificate in Clinical Supervision (including Online and Telephone Working), awarded by Counselling Tutor.

Supervision is available for experienced practitioners, newly qualified and trainee counsellors - either online (on Zoom) or in person (in London).

My Approach

I see supervision as a collaborative relationship where reflection, support and professional challenge come together to provide the "formative, normative, and restorative" functions of supervision.

My aim is to create a space where you feel able to think openly about your client work, your development as a practitioner, and the impact that the work has on you.

My approach combines the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision with the core conditions of the Person-Centred Approach.

The Seven-Eyed Model provides a structured framework for exploring different aspects of therapeutic work, including:

  • the client and their presenting issues

  • your interventions and therapeutic process

  • the relationship between you and your client

  • what may be happening within you as the therapist

  • the supervisory relationship itself

  • the wider organisational, cultural and ethical context

  • the broader systems that influence the work

Alongside this framework, I aim to embody the person-centred conditions of empathy, congruence and unconditional positive regard.

I believe that effective supervision balances accountability with genuine acceptance, allowing difficult questions, uncertainty and vulnerability to be explored safely.

Rather than applying the model mechanically, I use it flexibly, following what feels most relevant to the work you bring while ensuring that important issues are not overlooked.

Who I Work With

I offer supervision for a range of clients, including:

  • Qualified counsellors and psychotherapists

  • Trainee counsellors and psychotherapists

  • Client-facing support staff at educational, charity, and other oganisations

Alongside clinical practice, I have extensive experience in business and consultancy. This enables me to support supervisees not only in their therapeutic work, but also in developing sustainable and ethical private practices.

Supervision Scope & Format

Supervision is flexible, and may include a variety of issues, such as:

  • Client work and formulation

  • The therapeutic relationship

  • Ethical dilemmas and decision-making

  • Risk assessment and safeguarding

  • Boundaries and contracting

  • Working with diversity, culture and power

  • Self-awareness and use of self

  • Practitioner wellbeing and resilience

  • Developing confidence in private practice

I work online and in-person, depending on your preference.

Qualified practitioners often require 90 minutes of supervision a month. This can be scheduled every other week (45 minutes) or monthly (90 minutes). Ad hoc sessions are also available.

Getting Started

Finding the right supervisor is an important decision. I offer an initial conversation where we can discuss your practice, your current client work, your supervision requirements and what you are hoping to gain from supervision. It also gives us both an opportunity to decide whether we feel we would work well together.

If you would like to arrange an introductory conversation, please get in touch, or book an initial chat.
